The D3 Digital Challenge is an exciting new program aimed at getting our best and brightest startups, creatives and freelancers to develop digital solutions to policy issues. Through the challenge, participants develop a digital solution to a policy problem, and pitch it to a distinguished panel of judges. The most impressive pitches will secure $15,000 in grant funding to develop a prototype of their product.

The project involves digital entrepreneurs teaming up with people from the community, industry and academia, to Discuss, Design and Deliver (D3) solutions to different challenges.

The next challenge responds to the alarming prevalence of violence against women in our community. This challenge begins in November and aims to create digital solutions that help keep women safe, prevent perpetrators from reoffending and better inform women about the risks that technology presents and how to avoid them.

This D3 Digital Challenge is a joint initiative between the South Australian Department of the Premier and Cabinet, the South Australian Office for Women and the Commonwealth Government.

Learn more at an information and networking session for the ‘Keeping Women Safe’ challenge at 4.30pm – 6pm on Tuesday 10 November 2015. Please register through Eventbrite. Registrations are limited.
