If you’ve got an interest in business and an aptitude for solving complex problems, this competition is for you. EY is supporting the Young Tax Professional of the Year (YTPY) competition in more than 30 countries around the world – and for the first time in Australia in 2015.
Governments are increasingly focussed on ensuring companies pay their “fair share” of tax in the jurisdictions in which they operate. Based on the details outlined in the case study, you’ll provide a recommendation for how Online Co and Online AU should be taxed in Australia.
Demonstrate your analytical ability and you may win cash prizes, and our Australian overall winner will jet off to Europe in late 2015 to participate in the International Final.
How to enter
- 1.Download the case study from ey.com/au/ytpy
- 2.Submit your 700 word (or less) recommendation at www.facebook.com/eycareers
- 3.Entries close 12 noon, Monday 20 April 2015.
- 4.A shortlist of 2-3 entries per state will be selected by 24 April 2015 and the entrants will be invited to present their case study recommendations to a Tax Partner in May.
- 5.We’ll select one winner per state who will win a cash prize of $250.
- 6.Our panel of judges will select a finalist to represent EY Australia at the international competition hosted in Europe in December 2015. The international winner will receive an all-expenses paid for around the world trip to visit EY Tax centres in London, USA and Asia.
Entrants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or an Australian permanent resident, currently enrolled in an Australian university and due to complete their degree between 2015 and 2018. EY will cover flight expenses and one nights accommodation for finalists who are based outside interstate.
