The Lizard Centre is offering Vocational Training for people wanting to work on early intensive behavioural intervention programs across Adelaide. People who pass training will be invited to work as Independent Contractors with our families on programs supervised by Lizard.
The Lizard Centre provides a range of services for the treatment of children with developmental delays using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). Lizard’s Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Clinic is recognised as one of Australia’s leading providers of effective evidenced based intervention for young children with autism and related disorders. The Centre opened its paediatric clinic in Sydney in January 2003 and will expand it’s services to Adelaide in December 2014.
ABAis a scientifically validated method which has been used for over 40 years to establish lasting improvements in all areas of a child’s development, including communication, cognition, social interaction, play, motor skills and independent living skills.
ABA Therapist Training –26 & 27 March 2015
The Lizard Children’s Centre provides training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) methodology used to teach children with Autism. This course is suitable for both trainee ABA therapists and parents undertaking a Lizard ABA program for their child with autism and/or developmental delay.
Training modules combine ABA theory, role play exercises and observation of experienced therapists in action. Students undergo a practical skills assessment to attain the specific standards required to commence working as part of an ABA Therapy Team.
