Fresh graduate Lim Tau Herng had been eyeing Accenture when Contact Singapore’sExperience@Singapore Company Visits programme offered him the opportunity to get a glimpse into the inner workings of the company.
“I was interested in working at Accenture because I knew it had expertise in data analytics, and the company visit helped to confirm the interest,” he said.
During the company visit to Accenture, Tau Herng and the other participants networked with company executives and also toured the the Accenture Analytics Innovation Center (AAIC). “The visit to the AAIC was particularly memorable. It is a cool space where the team works. The various demos and presentations highlighted some of the projects that the AAIC team had worked on and I was motivated to be a part of that.”
Three months later, Tau Herng secured a position as an Analytics Analyst at AAIC, providing analytics perspectives to various projects.
“Experience@Singapore is a great opportunity to find out more about the company from people other than HR as well as meet students from other schools,” said Tau Herng. “I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a job.”
